Media and Promotion
The New Jersey Water Savers project partners implemented a grassroots marketing approach for all media and promotion of water conservation efforts. This approach involved the development and distribution of brochures and educational materials, participation in community events, displays, giveaways, press releases to local papers, web releases to update the municipal websites, responsive communication with the local press, direct mail, canvassing, utilizing public radio opportunities, water bill advertisement, and appearances on television. Additionally, the project partners utilized email blasts, as well as social marketing sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
